The Speaker of Parliament Aqila Saleh, discussed with the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence, Major General Abbas Kamel, the settlement efforts in Libya through the political track under the auspices of the United Nations.
This came during a visit by the head of Egyptian intelligence to Libya, specifically to the city of Benghazi.
The two officials discussed the full range of files and issues common between the two countries and the efforts made by Egypt in order to achieve security and stability in Libya and the region, in addition to the joint national security of the two countries.
