US President Donald Trump attacked his former security adviser John Bolton again, criticizing his analogy of Washington’s sanctions against North Korea to the Libyan solution.
Trump asked in a tweet posted on Sunday: “What could Bolton, one of the most stupid people in Washington, know? Wasn’t he the one who foolishly spoke in a televised statement about the “Libyan solution” to describe what the United States would do to North Korea?
The US President previously indicated that one of the reasons behind the dismissal of his national security advisor on September 10, 2019, is the latter’s evocation in televised statements of the former Libyan nuclear program, when talking about Washington’s efforts to denuclearize North Korea.
