Shoukry, Sayala speak on the phone to support stability in Libya

The Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord, Mohammad Al-Qiblawi, announced that the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Taher Siyala, to discuss the Libyan file and support stability.

“Shoukry” expressed his appreciation for receiving the Egyptian delegation in the capital, Tripoli, Al-Qiblawi said.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed Cairo’s keenness to continue cooperation between the two sides, expressing his hope that the visit would be a serious step in this direction.

On Sunday, the “GNA” in Tripoli received a high-level Egyptian delegation, headed by the deputy director of the Egyptian intelligence service and the head of the Egyptian National Committee concerned with the Libyan issue.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Egyptian delegation had promised during the visit to reopen the Egyptian embassy and return to work from inside Tripoli as soon as possible.

It was agreed to remove all obstacles to ensure the creation of appropriate conditions for the two sides to communicate, especially with regard to the resumption of flights from Libya to Cairo airport, and the organization of a series of meetings between experts and specialists in the two countries to achieve these goals.
