The Head of thePresidential Council of the Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Sarraj, held Saturday a meeting in the Italian capital, Rome, with the Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams.
Al-Sarraj’s media office said, in a statement, that the meeting dealt with developments in the situation in Libya, and ways to move forward on the political track.
The statement added that Williams welcomed Al-Sarraj’s commitment to harnessing all capabilities to enable the Electoral Commission to complete the election on the date agreed upon in December 2021, in cooperation and coordination with the United Nations.
