218News unveils latest developments of LPDF’s Advisory Committee work

A source confirmed to “218News” that the Advisory Committee of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum will discuss, Wednesday in Geneva, ways to reach a mechanism for selecting new “presidential council members” and a new prime minister.

The source added that the meetings of the advisory committee will continue in Geneva for a period of three days, explaining that the participants are determined to resolve the controversy over the “presidential council members and government” selection mechanism.

The UN mission confirmed that the committee members would continue dialogue and hold meetings in search of final solutions to the outstanding problems.

The mission said that the mandate of the advisory committee will be strictly time-bound, and its main task will be to discuss outstanding issues related to the selection of the unified executive authority and to present concrete and practical recommendations for the general session of the forum to be decided on.
