Algeria expresses readiness to support Libyan elections and conflict solutions

The Head of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Sarraj, discussed, on Wednesday, in Tripoli, with Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum, Algerian Ambassador Abdelkader Hegazy, and a number of Algerian officials, the latest developments in Libya.

The media office of Al-Sarraj said that Boukadoum affirmed his country’s support for the agreement reached to hold elections on December 24, and expressed his country’s readiness to contribute to the success of this entitlement and to play a greater role in the tracks aimed at resolving the Libyan crisis.

The talks dealt with bilateral relations, and in this context, the two sides agreed to develop joint cooperation to include multiple vital areas.

Boukadoum said on Twitter that he discussed with Al-Sarraj “developments in the situation in Libya and prospects for political paths to resolve the crisis, as well as issues related to the historical and fraternal bilateral relations between the two countries.”
