Syrian Observatory: Erdogan’s mercenaries in Libya are upset over salaries’ delay

Erdogan’s mercenaries who are in Libya are still suffering from the false promises that Erdogan and his military commanders made to them from the organized militias under his banner, as their promised salaries were stolen and they were transferred to other frontlines outside Libya without giving them a penny.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that it had detected a new dissatisfaction among the mercenaries of the Syrian factions to Turkey and who were in Libya, as a batch of them was supposed to return to Syria or Turkey at least during the past hours.

The Syrian Observatory indicated that a new batch of pro-Ankara “factions” mercenaries in Libya are expected to return to the Syrian or Turkish territories at the present time, within the coming hours, as about 150 mercenary fighters were informed of the preparations for their return by the leaders of their groups.

The Observatory also stated that the operations of “switching” mercenaries loyal to the Turkish government continue, through the return of batches of fighters from Libya to Syria, in exchange for other batches from Syria to go to Libya, and in both cases the matter takes place through Turkey.

The observatory sources added that the fighters who returned received only a quarter of their agreed monthly dues, as they only received $500 a month instead of $2,000, and they have not received salaries for more than 5 months.

On the other hand, the Observatory confirmed that its sources reported that the Russian Wagner Company continues to recruit Syrians and send them as mercenaries to protect its regional interests in Libya, as young men and women from As-Suwayda and several Syrian governorates were recently recruited and sent to Libya, where their number reached more than 250 people.
