Aguila Saleh: We want to endorese interim government

The Speaker of House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, arrived in Tobruk on the eve of Monday’s consultative session.

Saleh was received by a number of notables from Tobruk and Al-Batanan, in the forefront of which were the chief of the Tobruk administration, Faraj Bawal-Khattabiah, the mayor of Derna municipality, Abdul Moneim al-Ghaithi, and other personalities from Benghazi and the cities of Cyrenaica region.

Saleh delivered a speech, in which he said that “Libya, despite its crisis, is now back beautiful and embraces all of her children.”

He added that “the goal is one, and there is no neglect of the constants, in addition to the equal rights of the regions.”

He added: “We want to pass this government until we reach the election period,” urging not to rush in passing the draft constitution so that they do not make mistakes that last for a long time, and calling for delaying constitiution drafting because it requires almost unanimity from the Libyans.

Saleh emphasized that his initiative had succeeded in “ending bloodshed and stopped the war, stabilizing the rights of the regions equally and justly, and oil income was frozen until a new government would take over the distribution of wealth equitably, and air traffic continues between the West and the East, liquidity is improving and the coastal road will be reopened in the coming days, while the budget has been unified”.
