LNA targets terrorists’ hideout in Libya’s Ubari, Al-Mahjoub confirms

The Director of the Department of Moral Guidance in the Libyan National Army (LNA), Major General Khaled Al-Mahjoub, revealed that the LNA Special Operations Force carried out a critical operation targeting one of the terrorist hideouts in the city of Ubari.

Al-Mahjoub confirmed that the operation resulted in the bombing of an ammunition depot that was equipped to supply terrorists linked with ISIS and Al-Qaeda groups, who were working to prepare a logistical support area, in an attempt to re-position themselves the south.

The Director of the Moral Guidance Department indicated that the LNA units had previously carried out a similar operation about three months ago, when they raided a terrorist hideout in the south, during which they arrested seven terrorist elements and thwarted the process of establishing a logistical support site for terrorist groups.

The sounds of an ammunition explosion were heard in Al-Sharib neighborhood in Ubari at dawn on Sunday, with traces of air strikes at the targeted site.
