Dbeibah and Macron discuss transition to elections in Libya

The French President Emmanuel Macron made a phone call to the Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, on Friday, according to what the French embassy in Libya announced on Saturday.

The embassy indicated on its Twitter account that Macron and Dbeibah discussed the latest developments in Libya, and the mechanisms of transition to general elections on December 24th.

Talks between Dbeibah and Marcon also focused on the unification of institutions, the departure of foreign forces from Libya, and the improvement of services provided to citizens, according to the embassy.
