Libyan Oil Syndicate: Sanalla deliberately ignored work relations’ rules

The General Petroleum Syndicate called for the materialization of the recommendation of the Minister of Oil, Mohammad Aoun, to appoint Jadallah Al-Awkali as a Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, and to work to dismiss the current Chairman, Mustafa Sanalla.

The union said in a statement seen by “218News” that “Sanalla” caused administrative confusion and tampering to the oil sector by deliberately ignoring the laws, regulations and decisions regulating work relations of the Libyan oil sector.

The statement stated: “This inflexibility in continuing to cling to the position, throwing patriotism behind his back, claiming that he is supported by external parties, has cast a shadow over production and export operations, the loss of the rights of oil workers, and the low level of health and food services as well as housing in the oil facilities.”

It is noteworthy that the Minister of Oil and Gas issued a decision to dismiss the NOC Chairman, Mustafa Sanalla, and appoint board member Jadallah Al-Awkali, in his place.
