Lindsey Snell: Turkey’s mercenaries in Libya protest for their salaries

The American journalist, Lindsey Snell, who specializes in the affairs of terrorist groups, published a picture of what she said was a “demonstration of Syrian fighters from the Suqur Al-Shamal and Al-Mutasim Brigades” south of the capital, Tripoli.

According to a tweet by the journalist, these fighters, who work as mercenaries for the Turkish forces in Libya; demonstrated in a camp in the Souk al-Khamis – ​​Amsahil, south of the capital, Tripoli; to demand their delayed salaries.

At the same time, Snell confirmed that Turkey retained numbers of its fighters in Libya despite the signing of the ceasefire agreement in 2020.

It is worth noting that Turkey refused to consider its forces in Libya foreign forces, amid international demand for the withdrawal of foreign forces and mercenaries are intensifying before the upcoming elections, at the end of this year.
