For fifth day in a row, Turkish cargo plane lands in Al-Wattia base

The global air traffic application, Flight Radar, revealed that an Airbus A400 cargo plane, affiliated to the Turkish Air Force, took off from Isparta Airport in southern Turkey, and its destination is likely to be Al-Wattia air base.

This flight is the fifth of its kind in a row, which indicates an increased Turkish activity in the Libyan airspace, and without any announcement from the Turkish side, in clear and explicit violation of UN Security Council resolutions and the meetings of the “5 + 5” Joint Military Commission.

Over the past four days, Itamilradar military air traffic monitoring and tracking website revealed that cargo flights for the A400 plane were launched at the same take-off site from Turkey, and landed at Al-Wattia air base.

This flight of Turkish military aircraft comes at a time when voices against the Turkish presence are rising inside the country, and in light of fears of the impact of this influence on the fate of elections scheduled for next December.
