Williams follows up on latest developments of foreign forces’ withdrawal with 5+5 JMC

The Director of the Moral Guidance Department of the National Army, Major General Khaled Al-Mahjoub, stated that the Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Libyan Affairs, Stephanie Williams, communicated by phone to the “5+5” Joint Military Commission, while she was in Russia, to understand the progress of its work, and what it reached in the file of the withdrawal of foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.

Al-Mahjoub added in a Facebook post that the Libyan ambassador to Russia was at the forefront of the delegation of the “5+5” Commission, praising its role in bringing peace and implementing the Geneva agreement, and working to evacuate foreign forces and mercenaries.

It is noteworthy that the “5+5” joint military commission arrived in Russia on Tuesday to hold talks on implementing the mechanism for withdrawing all foreign forces and mercenaries with the Russian side, following a similar round of talks with the Turkish side, at the beginning of the week.
