Member of Parliament Abdul Hadi Al-Saghir announced the return of Parliament Speaker, Counselor Aqila Saleh, to the presidency of the House of Representatives, starting from the next session.
Al-Saghir wrote on his Facebook page: “The wise leadership returns to lead the next session,” while an official statement has not yet been issued by the presidency of the House of Representatives in this regard.
Member of Parliament Ibrahim Al-Darsi previously confirmed to 218News that a parliament session will be held on January 17, to listen to the proposals of the roadmap committee formed by the parliament.
The parliament is expected to take a decision in the next session on the proposals to be presented by the committee, after a number of meetings and consultations in the city of Benghazi, following the meetings held in the city of Tripoli, and the committee gathered with political parties and party entities.
Parliament Speaker Saleh had previously expressed his intention, after it was confirmed that elections were postponed and not to hold them as scheduled on December 24, to return to the presidency of the House of Representatives after he suspended his work months ago to have the opportunity to run for the presidential elections and assigned his first deputy, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi.
