Tunisia: Verdict adjourned for sleeper cell accused of smuggling weapons from Libya

The Tunisian judiciary has postponed the verdict in the trial of a sleeper cell accused of bringing shipments of weapons and explosives into Tunisia from Libya to March 25.

The Court of the Criminal Chamber specialized in terrorism cases in the Court of First Instance in Tunis deliberated Friday the case in which a sleeper cell that worked in bringing in weapons and explosives after being smuggled from Libya to be used in suicide operations by means of explosive belts and car bombs.

Tunis Afrique Press agency reported that four defendants from the sleeper cell were brought from prison to the Criminal Chamber accompanied by guards from the security units.
