200 Libyans evacuated from Ukraine to Slovakia as a first group by Foreign Ministry

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation deported the first batch of citizens residing in Ukraine to Slovakia due to the ongoing war.

200 Libyans on a first batch left the headquarters of the Libyan embassy in Kiev on two buses.

The ministry added that the evacuation will continue later for the rest of Libyans, noting that the priority if for families, patients and students.

The Foreign Ministry attributed the delay in the evacuation to what it said were “the complex procedures requested by the Libyan embassy in Ukraine,” urging all citizens and their Ukrainian spouses in cities near the Slovakian border to quickly communicate with the Crisis Committee of the Libyan Embassy in Slovakia via the telephone numbers designated for this purpose.
