The Libyan Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) condemned the closure of the Riayna valve that pumps into Al Zawiya refinery from the El Sharara field, by an armed group.
A statement by the PFG added that the closure does not represent it, stressing that its work is carried out in accordance with what the law authorizes it, which is to protect oil facilities.
It also denounced the allegations that salaries were suspended or delayed on its part, noting that the January salary was paid as soon as the remittance was received from the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Libya to its account, calling on all parties to pursue legal and legitimate means to implement their demands, not to ask for them by closing the source of the Libyan people’s revenues or causing damage to the national economy.
It is worth noting that a navigational source working in the Oil Crescent region told 218 earlier that oil export operations returned to normal on Friday morning in the region, after a halt on Thursday because of the bad weather.
