The Regional Director for the Near and Middle East and North Africa, at the German Foreign Ministry, expressed his country’s full support for the efforts of the UN advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, to resume the political process.
The German Director stressed that free, fair, inclusive and credible elections are the only solution to the recurring political crises in Libya.
Williams is currently leading an effort to form a joint constitutional committee between the House of Representatives and High Council of State to reach a constitutional basis as an entry point for the elections.
