Libyan government calls for restraint, accuses Dbeibah of deepening division

After the 5+5 Joint Military Commission statement, the Libyan government called for restraint and avoiding political and military escalation, stressing that it will take over its duties from the capital, Tripoli, by peaceful means.

The government called for showing restraint and avoiding the deliberate political and military escalation by the unity government, which it accused of seeking to deepen division, halt oil production, cut off roads, land and air routes between the east, west and south, and incite violence.

In a statement on Saturday, the Libyan government held what it called the usurpers of power responsible for all national and legal consequences resulting from the blatant interference in the affairs of the National Oil Corporation, the Central Bank of Libya and the Libyan Investment Authority, stressing that they were spared the cycle of polarization and political exploitation, and the commitment to support them according to impartial national foundations.

The government reiterated its closeness to assuming its business tasks from the capital, Tripoli, by peaceful means, and ending the manifestations of security chaos and financial corruption established by an outlaw junta that seized power, according to the statement’s description.
