Random gunfire and clashes reported in Libya’s capital Tripoli

Eyewitnesses reported hearing the sound of random and intense gunfire on the roundabout of Souk Al-Tulatha (Tuesday Market) in the capital, Tripoli, which caused a state of panic among the residents and vacationers at the resort near the site of clashes.

Identical sources reported that the clashes erupted after members of the Eighth Force “Al-Nawasi” set up a security checkpoint in the area, which has a security site nearby, resulting in clashes between armed factions without information about casualties, in light of the silence of the relevant security and military apparatuses.

Tripoli witnesses intermittent clashes from time to time, the last of which were clashes in the Al-Fernaj area in the center of the capital a few days ago, after armed factions had attempted to control the external security headquarters in the capital.
